Here's an impression of what the new Joyslide for the Twenty-First century in St James's Churchyard will  look  like

The Joy Slide of 1921 in St James's Churchyard was Peek Frean's Biscuit maker Arthur Carr's gift to the children of Bermondsey. The original was sadly damaged and removed in the 1990's but has now been reimagined by Arthur's great great grandson a 21st Century Architect.

On a more compact site and inspired by the original church steps that the children played on; this new design will hopefully bring more joy for many future generations.
